Background Thailand presented its first national report on the human rights situation in the country at the 12th Session of the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group. ตามที่เมื่อวันที่ 23 กันยายน 2559 คณะผู้แทนไทย นำโดยเอกอัครราชทูตผู้แทนถาวร ณ นครเจนีวา พร้อมด้วยผู้แทนกระทรวงการต่างประเทศ กระทรวงยุติธรรม และกระทรวงการพัฒนาสังคมและความมั่นคงของมนุษย์ ได้เข้าร่วมการรับรองรายงานผลการนำเสนอรายงาน Universal Periodic Review (UPR) รอบที่ 2 ของไทยในช่วงการประชุมคณะมนตรีสิทธิมนุษยชนแห่งสหประชาชาติ สมัยที่ 33 ณ นครเจนีวา โดยคณะผู้แทนไทยได้แจ้งตอบรับข้อเสนอแนะของไทย โดยสรุป ไทยได้ตอบรับข้อเสนอแนะทั้งหมด 187 ข้อ จากข้อเสนอแนะที่ไทยได้รับทั้งหมด 249 ข้อ อีกทั้งได้แจ้งคำมั่นโดยสมัครใจอีก...
